Marketing and Administrative Assistant (Remote)

Roles & Responsibilities

The marketing and administrative employee will work alongside the executive director, supporting the
planning, design, and execution of various projects. Some of this work includes:

  • Website and social media maintenance
  • Collateral development for social and website
  • Photography at events
  • Creating and managing event registrations
  • Designing flyers
  • Writing and soliciting blog posts
  • Developing meeting agendas
  • Finalizing meeting plans for board, trainings, and committees
  • Preparing draft email communications
  • Supporting the development of language guidelines

The marketing and administrative employee will regularly report to the executive director, to ensure the experience is both positive and productive for both the employee and the organization. To successfully execute their duties, the employee will also work alongside the organization’s committees, and be in regular contact and attendance with them.

Essential Job Duties

  • Assist and collaborate with all committees
  • Communicate effectively with others, solve problems creatively, and demonstrate a high level of integrity
  • Manage and maintain the website and all social media handles
  • Develop and update marketing collateral for brand awareness and event promotion
  • Support marketing team in executing marketing campaigns efforts and tracking data
  • Actively listen to OhanaHC stakeholder needs in order to improve marketing strategies
  • Assist in editing and assembling presentations, outward messaging, and social content

Preferred Qualifications

  • Someone interested in business administration, marketing, communications, or other related field
  • Experience with a CRM, Google Workspace, WordPress, Zoom, Canva, and Slack
  • Knowledge of the non-profit sector and mentorship programs are a plus
  • Eagerness to learn and a willingness to participate in a variety of projects
  • Ability to think outside the box, complete tasks well, and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Data entry skills
  • Attention to detail
  • A team-player mindset
  • Self-starter with ability to maintain task ownership
  • Belief in racial equity and a basic understanding of the intersectionality of race within disparity data
