Many people have had to overcome barriers (real or perceived) to become emotionally and economically successful. Most of those people had help or guidance from parents, grandparents, other family members, friends, coaches, and mentors. In essence, each of those individuals had an Ohana where everyone served and benefited, and no one was left behind or forgotten.
Unfortunately, not everyone has the help, support, or guidance that is needed to succeed. Not all of us are able to find our way on our own. People need support. The students of Howard County need our support. Our schools need our support. Our villages need our support. This is exactly why we need your support.
Watch Zach Gray's meaningful message about giving and receiving help and support.
Like Zach, OhanaHC is striving to help others. We have found individuals who need your help and support. We can help you "kick start the cycle". Stretch your "helping brain" and check out the section below for numerous ways that you can support OhanaHC and the individuals it supports.
An organization is only as good as the people supporting it. This case is especially true for non-profits. Without you, we are nothing. But together, we are stronger than any barrier. Moreover, what matters in life is not what we do for ourselves as individuals, but what we do for those around us.
The opportunity to help someone around you—a struggling student—is only a click away. That's right! You are one click, and a few minutes away (you'll have to fill out a quick form) from changing a life forever.
