Chyresse Parker is a parent who understands, firsthand, what mentorship and a village can mean for a young person. She saw firsthand what it meant for her own child to be surrounded by mentors who showed up consistently, and she understood what that kind of steady support can do for a young person moving through high school. That’s a perspective few have on the OhanaHC Board. That experience drew her closer to the work. She went on to briefly serve as an assistant coordinator with OhanaHC, helping keep programs running day to day, and now joins the board to help guide the organization’s future.

Chyresse brings more than a decade of professional experience in youth development, program coordination, and community engagement, including years with the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, where she led community programs, volunteer recruitment, and event logistics. Her background also spans arts education and scouting programs across the Baltimore area.

Today she serves as a medical office manager and runs a small event business of her own. Parent, program coordinator, and now board member, she understands both the families OhanaHC serves and the work it takes to serve them well.
