An OhanaHC story

Growing up in Columbia, Maryland, I was fortunate to participate in youth development programs that helped shape my confidence, leadership skills, and sense of community. Those experiences had a lasting impact on who I am today, and I’ve always wanted to find meaningful ways to give back.
I continue volunteering to stay connected to Howard County and build relationships with people who share in my passion for volunteering and community impact. One of my goals this year is to attend more OhanaHC events and provide more direct support to our mentors and students.
I serve as the Co-Chair of the Marketing Committee for OhanaHC. One of the most meaningful experiences has been contributing to the launch of our new logo as part of a larger brand redesign initiative. It was exciting to be involved in a project that not only refreshed the organization’s visual identity but also better reflected who we are and the impact we strive to make in our community.
Find your place in the village
You may have a professional skill to share. A few hours to give. An idea that could make something better. Or simply the desire to be part of something that matters.
That can be enough to start. Bring what you have. We’ll help you find where it can make a difference.
