Support the moments that build our community

A shared meal. A workshop that sparks a new interest. A trip that opens up a new possibility. A place where students and mentors can simply spend time together.

These moments matter, and they take resources.

Businesses and organizations across Howard County help OhanaHC students see what is possible. There is a place here for you.

How to help

Bring what you have

A venue that hosts an event, a business that provides food, an employer that opens a door, a sponsor that funds a season. Each one widens what we can offer youth.

  • Feed the village

Provide meals, snacks, or catering for school club meetings, mentor gatherings, Pathfinders dinners, and special events.

  • Provide access to experiences

Offer your space for a community event, a bowling night, or a group activity where students and mentors connect outside of school.

  • Open doors

Bring students into the working world through job shadowing, career conversations, internships, mock interviews, workplace tours, connections to people in your field, and events like OhanaHC’s career summit.

  • Sponsor an event

Put your name behind a community event, the annual 5K, or a school village. Help fund the programming behind every village.

Career summit

A career summit, built with partners

At the Future Ready Summit, our high school students got a front-row seat to what comes after graduation. They explored colleges and careers and learned about summer internships and jobs.

This is what happens when a community shows up for youth. This event comes together each year through our partnerships with the Howard County Public School System, Howard Community College, BGE, the Howard County Library System, and the Howard County Workforce Development Center.

Partnership is what made it possible.

Bring your team into the village

Partnership is also a way for your employees to connect with the community. Companies and organizations can get their teams involved through career events, workplace visits, our 5K, and even support some of our committees.

We’ll work with you to find a role that fits your team and the young people we serve.

Give back to your community school

Many Howard County schools already have strong communities behind them: alumni, local businesses, parent groups, civic organizations, and neighbors.

OhanaHC gives those communities another way to show up for students. You can partner with the village at:

And don’t forget Pathfinders, our fastest growing village, for 18 to 24 year olds finding their way after high school.

We meet our youth where they are, with a meal at our events, rides when they need them, supplies, and skills training. Help teens discover their strengths, stay in school, and find purpose through community service.

Whether you graduated from the school, work nearby, or simply want to invest in its students, there is a place for you in the village.
