StoryMentoring

Temitope Adepoju wears a lot of hats. She works in technology supporting organ transplantation nationwide, runs a mobile sweet treats business, helps fight food insecurity, and serves in her church community.
She also makes time to mentor with OhanaHC.
I joined Ohana because I believe mentorship has the power to open doors and change lives. Being part of a community that pours into the next generation and helps them pursue their dreams is incredibly meaningful to me.
For Temitope, mentoring is another way to use her time and experience to create opportunities for others and help young people see what might be possible for them.

For Chris Matthews, mentoring feels like a natural extension of the work he has spent more than two decades doing with students and families across Howard County Public Schools.
Experiencing different cultures, customs, and perspectives can broaden how young people see the world, communicate with others, and understand what is possible.
Somebody told a ninth grader about OhanaHC. If you know a young person in Howard County who could use more adults in their corner, connect us.
