The story

When Jada joined OhanaHC during her senior year at Guilford Park High School, she was thinking about what came next. College, scholarships, what to study, and how she wanted to make a difference in her community were all on her mind.

Through OhanaHC, she found mentors who gave her a place to talk through those decisions, ask questions, and build confidence in the path ahead.

That confidence soon turned outward. Jada started a pantry at her church and began thinking about how she could one day mentor younger students herself.

Now, she is preparing to attend Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina with a clearer sense of where she is headed and the kind of impact she wants to have along the way.

She is not only stepping into her own next chapter. She is already thinking about how she can help someone else find theirs.

My mentors helped me find my path. Now I want to help someone else find theirs.
