When Michael joined OhanaHC as a junior at Hammond High School, he wasn’t sure yet what life after high school would look like.
OhanaHC gave me a place where I could be myself, talk about what was on my mind, and figure out where I wanted to go next.
Over time, that space became more. Michael found mentors who listened, encouraged him, and gave him room to ask tough questions and think more deeply about what he wanted for his future.
Those relationships helped him grow more confident in who he is and where he wanted to go after high school. His interest in understanding people, supporting others, and making a difference ultimately helped shape his decision to study psychology.
Today, Michael is preparing to attend Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, where he plans to pursue psychology and continue building toward a future focused on helping others.

Aradia joined OhanaHC as a quiet freshman at Hammond High School, still figuring out where she belonged. Like many young people, she was looking for connection, encouragement, and people she could trust.
